Terms of Service
Last updated 13 August 2026
These are the rules for using TicketingPad. By creating an account you agree to them. They cover both people buying tickets and people selling them, and we have marked clearly which parts apply to which.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By creating a TicketingPad account, or by using the app or website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use TicketingPad.
TicketingPad is an events and ticketing platform operating in Botswana. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean TicketingPad, and “you” means you.
2. Who may use TicketingPad
You must be at least 18 years old to have an account. If you are under 18, you may only use TicketingPad with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian, who takes responsibility for what you do here.
You must give us real information when you sign up. Accounts created under a false name, or with somebody else’s email address, may be closed.
3. Your account
Your account is yours alone. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think somebody else has got into your account. You are responsible for what is done through your account.
We ask you to confirm your email address before you can use the account. This is not a formality: without it, somebody could sign up using your address and receive your tickets.
4. What TicketingPad is — and is not
We are the place where events are listed and tickets are sold. We are not the organiser of those events. Each event on TicketingPad is run by an independent organiser, who decides what the event is, where and when it happens, what it costs, and what happens if it changes.
We check that organisers are real, identifiable people before we let them sell. We do not, and cannot, guarantee that an event will be good, that it will happen as described, or that an organiser will keep their promises. Your agreement to attend an event is with the organiser.
5. Buying tickets
Prices are shown in Botswana Pula. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay, including any TicketingPad service fee, which will be shown to you before you confirm.
When your payment goes through, your ticket appears in the app with a code that is scanned at the door. Keep it to yourself — anyone holding that code can be admitted in your place.
- A ticket admits one person to one event, unless it says otherwise.
- Organisers may set their own conditions of entry — age limits, dress, what you may bring. Those are shown on the event and you agree to them when you buy.
- An organiser may refuse entry, or ask someone to leave, in line with their own published conditions and the law.
6. Refunds, changes and cancellations
Refunds are the organiser’s responsibility. Each event sets out its own refund position, and you should read it before you buy. As a general rule, tickets are not refundable simply because you changed your mind.
If an organiser cancels an event, or moves it so significantly that it is not the event you bought a ticket to, you are entitled to a refund of what you paid for the ticket from that organiser. We will help you get it, and we will use the means available to us to recover it, but we are not the party that owes it.
We will pass on any refund we receive on your behalf using the same payment method you used to buy.
7. Selling tickets (organisers)
Anyone may apply to become an organiser. We will ask you for identification and an administrator will review it. We may refuse an application, and we do not have to give reasons.
If you are approved, you agree that:
- You have the right to run the event you are listing and to sell tickets to it, including any permits, licences or venue permissions it needs.
- Everything on your listing is accurate — the date, the place, the price, the capacity and what people are getting.
- You will run the event as described, or tell ticket holders promptly and clearly if anything changes.
- You will honour refunds where they are due, including where you cancel.
- You will deal with your ticket holders' information properly, use it only for that event, and not sell it or add people to unrelated mailing lists.
- You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.
We may charge a fee on tickets sold through TicketingPad. The fee that applies to you will be made clear to you before you list, and we will give you notice before it changes.
We may take down a listing, hold back a payout, or suspend an organiser account where we have good reason to believe an event is not genuine, is unlawful, or that ticket holders are at risk of losing their money.
8. Things you post
Pictures, videos, descriptions, comments and reviews you put on TicketingPad stay yours. By posting them you give us permission to store them and show them on TicketingPad — including in listings, search results and previews — for as long as they are on the platform.
You must not post anything that:
- Is not yours to post, including someone else's photographs, artwork or music.
- Is unlawful, threatening, hateful, or harassing.
- Is sexual material involving children, or any other content that is illegal in Botswana.
- Is false or designed to mislead people into paying for something that does not exist.
- Contains someone else's personal information without their agreement.
We may remove anything that breaks these rules, and we may do so without warning where the content is seriously harmful.
9. Things you must not do
- Use somebody else's account, or let somebody else use yours.
- Buy tickets in order to resell them at a profit outside TicketingPad, where the organiser has said you may not.
- Copy, scrape or bulk-download listings, or try to get at parts of the service you are not meant to reach.
- Interfere with the service, overload it, or attempt to break its security.
- Use TicketingPad to defraud anybody, launder money, or break the law.
10. Suspending or closing accounts
You can close your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your information when you do.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where we are required to by law. Where it is fair to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right.
If your account is closed, tickets you have already bought to events that have not yet happened remain valid, and money already owed to you is still owed to you.
11. When things go wrong
We work to keep TicketingPad running and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, or free of faults. We may change or withdraw features.
We are responsible to you for loss we cause by failing to take reasonable care. We are not responsible for what an independent organiser does or fails to do, or for events that are cancelled, changed or disappointing.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use TicketingPad after that means you accept the new terms.
13. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of Botswana, and the courts of Botswana deal with any dispute arising from them.
14. Talking to us
For anything at all — a problem with a ticket, a complaint about an organiser, or a question about these terms — write to support@ticketingpad.com. Tell us your account email and, if it is about an event, which event.
